The Pink Pathers

Janey has wanted to play softball again, ever since she played in New Zealand. She started playing softball with the Pink Panthers this spring. They play youth pitch and Janey did a great job pitching last game. Go Janey!

Red Dragons

Ellie was dying to try soccer, so we signed her up for the spring season. Her team, the Red Dragons is undefeated so far and Ellie is having so much fun!

The Jazz and the Grizz

This was the week of professional sports for Daniel and Dad. Daniel won Jazz Basketball tickets as a door prize at a dyslexia conference, so they got to go see the Jazz beat the Celtics this week. Daniel also earned Grizz Hockey tickets from selling his scout-o-rama tickets and that game happened to be this week too. They had fun being together, but both agreed they preferred Basketball to Hockey.

Pic-nic at the Ball Park

Grandma and Grandpa (my parents) joined us at the ball park for one of Steve L.'s baseball games this week. It's hard to beat gorgeous weather, great, watermelon and pizza and a nail biting baseball game right behind right field!

Soccer by Janey

I play soccer because it's one of my favorite sports. I like that it gets me exercise. Go Silver Sharks!

Soccer by Daniel

Soccer is a really fun sport. I like being a defender best. So far I haven't scored a goal this season. Times have been pretty hard. The last game the score was 11-0, but we lost. The team that we lost to, my best friend was on. I am number 2 on my team. My team is called the Green Virus, and our team color is lime green.

Baseball Update

So far our team the Giants is undefeated. One game we tied and still need to finish it later. I like playing in the field best.

They Might Be Giants

So apparently we have traded last quarter's Mock Trials, cookie sales and chess club for this quarter's swimming lessons, soccer practices and base ball games.

Daniel and Janey have started spring soccer. We looked in vain for a boy's soft ball team for Steve L. to join, he had such a good experience playing soft ball in New Zealand. So he decided to play baseball instead. He is on a great team with an encouraging coach and team mates that cheer you on. They won 5 to 4 their first game and tonight they had a shutout - 17 to 0! Steve L. is the team rookie, but he held his own. He drove in 4 of those runs with his batting and crossed the home plate for another. I love that they are all getting exercise and rosy cheeks after such a long winter. Bring on the sunshine!
